Pitch a story
Golden Story House welcomes considered pitches about household rituals, rooms, keepsakes, family expressions and the changing feel of home through the seasons. We are interested in specific subjects that open a thoughtful window onto domestic life without claiming to speak for every household.
What makes a good pitch
Tell us the central question, why it suits Golden Story House and what a reader will understand or notice by the end. Name the likely shape of the piece and any sources or material you would use. A focused proposal about one object, custom or detail is more useful than a broad promise to cover home life.
What to send
Include a brief outline and a short note about your relevant experience with the subject. We welcome reported, explanatory and reflective proposals, provided factual claims can be checked and personal accounts are presented as individual experiences. Do not send confidential or sensitive information.
How to propose
Send your proposal through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option, explaining that it is a pitch. Please do not submit a complete article unless it has been requested.
